Childrens Story Books

Children's Story Book author, Verna Aardema was born in New Era, Michigan on 6 June 1911 and died on 11 May 2000. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. of Journalism in 1934.

Vera published her first set of Children story books, Tales from the Story Hat, in 1960. These kids story books were very successful, which encouraged her to continue to adapt traditional tales and folklore from various cultures, mainly from Africa and Mexico.
